Code of Conduct
* I will combine positive reinforcement training techniques with an understanding of Canine behaviour to educate both dogs & owners in order to achieve well balanced & socialised dogs
* I strongly oppose the use of techniques and equipment that will harm or scare the dog such as check, choke, prong, spike collars or electronic collars
* I will only use positive reinforcement methods that are fair, kind and effective
* I will conduct myself honestly, professionally and compassionately at all times
* I do & will continue to recognise my own professional limits and abilities, be open and honest with clients and where necessary refer clients to another practitioner
* The welfare of both the client and their dogs is paramount at all times
* I will continue to educate myself with additional skills & knowledge in the field of Canine Behaviour which will best serve my clients
* I will keep abreast with regard to new training techniques & equipment & use only those that have been proved to have been humanely tried & tested
* When designing training & behavioural programs I will take into account the physical and psychological wellbeing of my client & the individual dog
* I will respect the privacy policy and the data protection act & shall not disclose any information regarding my clients or their dog without their permission
* I will inform & maintain contact with the clients veterinarian during the behavioural modification period
